Diagnostics
GSmartControl – is a graphical user interface for smartctl (from smartmontools package), which is a tool for querying and controlling SMART (Self-Monitoring, Analysis, and Reporting Technology) data on modern hard disk and solid-state drives. It allows you to inspect the drive’s SMART data to determine its health, as well as run various tests on it.
WinDirStat – A free and open-source graphical disk usage analyzer. Supports sub-tree views!
File Transfer
WinSCP – is an open source free SFTP client, FTP client, WebDAV client, S3 client and SCP client and file manager for Windows.
FastCopy – FastCopy is a fast file copy and backup software for Windows. It works much faster than the standard Windows Explorer by using multi-threaded reading, writing, and verifying without overloading the operating system cache.
Text Editor
Pulsar – Pulsar is a free, open-source, Cross-Platform, community-led text editor that serves as the spiritual successor and direct fork of GitHub’s discontinued Atom editor.
